Took my buddy from Toronto for a nice dinner. We loved the space, and Chef Cam sent over an amuse bouche while we were waiting. We started with French Onion Soup. It was delicious without being too salty, topped with crouton and melted cheese. Then we had scallops aka Coquille Saint Jacques, served on a generous bed of mushrooms. Alas the mushrooms were cold and the scallops lukewarm, but our waitress whisked them away to re-heat, Cam came over to apologize and offer us a glass of wine. No biggie~ the scallops were worth the wait! For dessert I had a cherry chocolate concoction. One complaint – the coffee was weak and tasteless – 2nd time this has happened. what’s up with that….put more coffee in the drip please! Overall we were very pleased and my friend said this was exactly the kind of place she liked to visit! Chef Cam is an original who experiments with taste and takes risks. I love to support local businesses, especially when someone is so obviously putting his heart into his work. Heartily recommended!
